Outer characterization

Primrose Everdeen is Katniss’s twelve-year-old sister in the novel The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. She lives with her mother and sister in the poorest part of District 12, the Seam. Prim has a cat named Buttercup and a goat named Lady. 

Prim is described as being a beautiful child with “light hair and blue eyes” (Chapter 1, 29%): “Prim’s face is as fresh as a raindrop, as lovely as the primrose for which she was named” (Chapter 1, 0%). 

Inner characterization

Prim is a sweet child who is loved by most people she meets. She is described as a child “who no one can help loving” (Chapter 2, 20%). The way the baker promises Katniss he will take care of Prim after Katniss leaves shows the sympathy Prim inspires: “ ‘I’ll keep an ey...
