Effie Trinket

Outer characterization

Effie Trinket is the escort of the District 12 tributes in the novel The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Effie comes to District 12 on reaping day every year to read out the names of the two tributes from the district. She then escorts them to the Capitol and works with the tributes’ mentor to prepare them for live appearances. 

Effie is described as a permanently upbeat woman with a “scary white grin, pinkish hair, and spring green suit” (Chapter 1, 86%). Her outward appearance is eccentric, following Capitol fashions.
