The main character of Law Chen’s short film “I Don’t Make the Rules” is Stephen Noa. The movie also features characters such as Nathan, Carl, Irene, Nathan’s friends, and the girls in front of the club.

Stephen Noa

Stephen used to be a professional football player. According to one of Nathan’s friends, Stephen used to play for the Cleveland Browns in 2004 (04:00). Now Stephen works several jobs: he distributes flyers for a gym called Turbo Fitness, he also cleans up at a gym, and works as a bouncer at a nightclub. Stephen dropped out of college after one year, not being able to complete his Bachelor’s degree (06:57).

Stephen Noa has a muscular and athletic body type. He is tall, has a shaven head and has several tattoos on both arms. He appears to be physically strong, but he also has a knee injury; he is seen wearing a knee pad (06:19) and has difficulties when he needs to squat or sit down (04:56; 06:13).
