Serena Sinclair

Outer characterization

Serena Sinclair appears in the short story “Champagne Flight” by Jill Norris. According to the narrator, she is probably in her forties (p. 15, ll. 21-22). She has brown eyes (p. 17, l. 10), and her hair is dyed in a brassy gold tone (p. 15, ll. 22-23). She wears heavy perfume. (p. 15, l. 35). As she tells the narrator, Serena Sinclair is not her real name (p. 16, l.7). 

Serena has been married three times. Her first husband, Hank, died in a car accident, and the other two marriages ended in divorce (p. 16, ll. 41-45). Serena is a smoker (p. 15, l. 36) and a heavy drinker (pp. 15-16, ll. 40-1). She works as a stripper (p. 18, l. 15)
