The conceited man

The conceited man is another character in the novella The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. He lives alone on the second planet the Little Prince visits on his journey, Asteroid 326.

The conceited man has a strange hat with which he uses to greet his admirers, but unfortunately no one ever comes by (40%). He is all the more pleased when he discovers the little prince. He wishes the little prince would clap for him, and then raises his hat to thank him for his admiration. 

The conceited man always wants to be admired. Even if he lives alone on the planet, he wants to hear that he is the handsomest, the best-dressed, the richest, and the most intelligent man on the planet (41%).
