Contrasts

Many contrasts can be found in the novella The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The main contrasts are adults vs. children and exterior vs. interior. Both themes are permanently constantly in the work. 

Another contrast is that between destructive and beautiful. The baobabs that grow on the little prince's planet are destructive, while the rose is beautiful.

Furthermore, a contrast can be found between imagination and science. Imagination plays an important role in the pilot’s drawings and the drawing of the sheep. The pilot believes that imagination is a childlike quality that many adults do not possess.
