Structure

The film The Riot Club (2014) directed by Lone Scherfig follows a chronological plot structure. The film tells the story of two first-year Oxford University students – Miles Richards and Alistair Ryle – and their connection with the Riot Club, a famous and scandalous undergraduate dining society. 

The film begins by providing context to the story. A flashback to the 1700s shows the history of the Riot Club, which was founded in honor of a man nicknamed Lord Riot.
