Film review

The film adaptation of John Boyne's novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas differs slightly from the book. Understandably, when adapting media from book to film, some changes have to be made in order to maintain the complexity of a story. Even so, the cinematic examination of the Nazi era is difficult, as these films are always controversial.

Despite some outstanding differences between the novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne and the 2008 film by director Mark Hermann, the film adaptation of this Holocaust novel is very successful.
