Summary

The short story “Chicken Little Goes Too Far” by Margaret Atwood begins with Chicken Little realizing that the sky is falling. When he tries to alert the others, however, they do not take him seriously. Henny Penny tells him that he said the same thing last year, and the sky is still in place. Turkey Lurkey, a professor, tells him it is not the sky that is falling, but rather the earth which rises, due to natural causes. Goosey Loosey, a newspaper editor, tells him this is not interesting news. Furthermore, she believes the experts are working to find a solution.
