Physical setting

The short story “Chicken Little Goes Too Far” by Margaret Atwood takes place in a fantasy world which bears several similarities to our world. 

The time and place of the short story are deliberately kept vague, thus reflecting the universal nature of the events. However, there are a few clues which place this story in the era of technology, from the 20th century onwards: the reference to television (l.2) and large corporations (l. 63-64).
