Analysis

The analysis of the short story “Chicken Little Goes Too Far” by Margaret Atwood shows that it follows a linear plot structure. The events progress chronologically, from the moment Chicken Little learns that the sky is falling, until Hoggy Groggy and Foxy Loxy plot his murder.

The main character of the story is Chicken Little. He interacts with various other characters, trying to convince them that the sky is falling.

The physical setting appears to be a fantasy world, which bears several similarities to our contemporary world. The social setting explores raising awareness of current issues and people’s attitudes in such situations.

The story is told by a third-person narrator who appears to be omniscient. We get some insight into the mind of the main character, Chicken Little.

The language is informal. The characters express themselves in their unique ways, drawing attention to the types of people they are supposed to represent.
