Power

One of the most important themes in “Nobody’s story” by Charles Dickens is power. This theme is explored by looking at the contrast between the characters’ social classes and the power dynamic between them.  

The working-class “nobodies” of society are dependent on the upper class, as they make all the fundamental decisions that keep society working. They are involved in government, education, church, and media, controlling every aspect of the lives of lower-class individuals.
