The speaker of the Super Tuesday victory speech is Donald Trump. At the time of the speech, Donald Trump was known as a controversial and successful businessmen and TV personality. He was also one of the official contenders in the primary race within the Republican Party for the presidential elections in the US.

The Republican Party is one of the two biggest parties in the US. Its orientation is conservative, supporting policies like free market capitalism, strong national defense, and restrictions on labor unions, along with traditional Christian values.

The speaker is not a career politician, but a career businessman, something which he also points out in his speech and presents as an advantage in the electoral race: “It's going to be a negotiation where we'll start at certain levels and hopefully I will make a great deal, and lots of great deals, for the American people.” (ll. 310-313). He deliberately presents himself as the opposite of a traditional politician (such as Hillary Clinton).
