Present an official apology to LGBTQ2 Canadians

Justin Trudeau’s main intention with his speech “Remarks by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to apologise to LGBTQ2 Canadians” is to issue an apology to LGBTQ2 people for the historic mistreatment they have suffered at the hands of the Canadian government.

To achieve this intention, Trudeau uses logos by providing factual evidence on the oppression of LGBTQ2 Canadians. This adds weight to Trudeau’s apology by showing that the current government is aware of past governments’ discriminatory practices and of their deep impact on Canada’s LGBTQ2 citizens.
