Forms of appeal

Throughout her TED talk “How racial bias works – and how to disrupt it”, Jennifer L. Eberhardt uses a mix of all three forms of appeal when she argues for her views

Logos 

Eberhardt appeals to logos by mentioning the results of different studies on racial bias. An example of this can be found when Eberhardt shares the results of Nextdoor’s attempts to reduce racial profiling on their platform: “by simply slowing people down, Nextdoor was able to curb racial profiling by 75%” (ll. 61-62). The use of statistical data helps Eberhardt to argue her point that getting people to question their snap decisions based on prejudices can help reduce unconscious racial bias.
