The article “ ‘Dreamers’ Put Their Trust in DACA. What Now?”  by Jose Antonio Vargas was written in response to the Trump Administration announcing that the DACA program protecting children of immigrants from deportation and granting them work permits would be repealed. The program was set to be repealed six months later, in March 2018. However, following the decision, various states, recipients of the program, and even universities filed law suits against Trump for rescinding the act. Most lawsuits were ruled in favor of the suers.

Additionally, Trump’s actions were criticized by many Republicans, Democrats, and economists.
