In your analysis of “ ‘Dreamers’ Put Their Trust in DACA. What Now?”  by Jose Antonio Vargas, you should also consider commenting on and discussing statements that are interesting or controversial.

For example, Vargas argues that President Trump is ignorant about DACA: “Can we trust President Trump, whose conflicting messages illustrate his ignorance of how DACA works?” (ll. 36-37).

The statement suggests the US President was unprepared to discuss the topic and undermines Trump’s authority. However, Vargas is not the only person to point this out, as there have been many other instances in which Donald Trump was criticized for having a superficial understanding of the policy. For example, an article from 2018 points out that Trump may not have a full understanding of the meaning of DACA.
