Characters

The characters of the short story “Sleeping” by Katharine Weber are Harriet, Mrs. Winter, and Mr. Winter. Harriet is a teenage girl who is asked to babysit the Winters’ baby named Charles. The story’s ending suggests that Charles is dead and the Winters have found a way of dealing with the loss of their child.
