Journey of self-discovery

The short film “Reappear” by Tommy Clarke explores the theme of the journey of self-discovery. The theme is illustrated by Frank, a young man who is retracing his late father’s footsteps in an attempt to recreate one of his photos and lift his mother’s spirits. 

Frank’s journey of self-discovery begins before the events in the film. He tells Christina that he has worked on his late father’s motorcycle for months before driving it, which shows his determination to reconnect with him. Frank has taken his father’s hobbies – driving the motorcycle and photography – in an attempt to reconnect with him after his death.
