Summary

“Open Or Wrapped” by Lynne Rees tells the story of Francine. She works as a waitress in a fish and chips shop during the summer, before she goes to university. The clients at the bar often make sexual comments about Francine, because she is attractive and has large breasts. Francine has always been the target of such comments as well as unpleasant sexual behaviour ever since she was in school. Her mother never understood her frustrations and after her father left them, she would say to Francine that she should appreciate the attention of men.
