The speaker of the 2020 victory speech is Joe Biden, who had just won the presidential elections against his opposing candidate, Donald Trump.

Biden has had a long political career. He registered as a Democrat in 1969 and held several official positions. Biden formerly served as vice-president during Barack Obama’s office, from January 2009 to January 2017.

As a presidential nominee of the Democratic Party, Biden refers to several Democratic values and ideals in his speech, such as solidarity and inclusion. For instance, he states that he is proud that his campaign is “the broadest and most diverse in history” (l. 28), including various categories of people of different ages, races, sexual orientations, and even people holding different political views.
