Summary

“I Dare You” by Eileen Merriman tells the story of two teenage girls, Carrie and Jane, who go to the park and meet a man driving a Porsche.

At the park, Carrie and Jean use the swingset. Jane is jealous of Carrie’s looks and name and thinks of herself as plain.

They see a Porsche approaching the park, and Carrie tells Jane she should ask for a ride since Porsche is her favourite kind of car. Jane hesitates, so Carrie dares her to do it. Jane accepts under the condition that Carrie will take on a dare as well.

The girls ask the driver of the Porsche for a ride, and he accepts. Carrie tells him that her name is Miley, and the driver introduces himself as William and tells them that he is a businessman.
