Character traits: Smart, shy, reserved, quiet, avoids confrontation; becomes increasingly brave and persevering, and finally even fearless, loyal, and helpful to his friend, kind and considerate to his family.

Special features: Is initially pursued by bad luck because of a curse on his family, is always in the wrong place at the wrong time and is therefore wrongfully arrested; teaches Zero to read and is the only one to befriend him; banishes the family curse, becomes free and even rich after the discovery of the treasure that belongs to his family.
