When analyzing “Dominion Over Nature”, it would also be useful to consider the climate crisis, which has developed significantly since Pack wrote his essay in 2003. In “Dominion Over Nature”, Pack mentions the “limit our species confronts today” (l. 10). He alludes to a climate crisis in development, warning that abusing nature and replacing it would endanger our world. 

This issue has only grown in urgency since then, just as people's awareness of the problem has grown enormously. This means that his text and arguments are more relevant than ever.
