Part 1 in the exam question asks you to explain briefly the Pokémon Go concept and outline some of the attitudes to it that are presented in the three texts.

The Pokémon Go is an enhanced reality game which can be played through a mobile phone app. The app overlays monsters over different real-world locations using the phone’s camera. The players have to find, capture, fight, and train these virtual creatures which are called Pokémon. The concept is explained in both Texts I and II.

Text I explains that Pokémon Go evolved from the original 1996 Pokémon game which is constructed around a coming-of-age story in which a young boy is encouraged to leave home and go out in the world to collect monsters. The Pokémon Go, however, is more about the hunt and the collecting part of the game then the narrative behind it.
