Exam question
This study guide is based on this exam question in written English B on STX from August 18th, 2017:
Presentation of the topic
Pokémon Go is an augmented (enhanced) reality game similar to a treasure hunt game in which players need to find, catch, and tame creatures called Pokémon. These virtual monsters are overlaid onto real-life places and can be seen and caught with a phone app.
The game has become a topic of debate following several media reports that revealed the game is addictive and potentially dangerous because players can get hurt by paying more attention to finding the creatures than to traffic, or trespassing on private property, etc. However, others believe that the game is an improvement on traditional video games because it takes players out of the house and into the real world.
