Presentation of the topic
Mixed martial arts is a sport that developed in the 1990s and which involves mixing various martial arts and Western sports’ techniques in one-on-one combat, in a fighting ring. The sport is often compared to boxing, but it involves more complex martial arts techniques. Some consider mixed martial arts as just another sport. Others claim that the sport is too violent, governed by relaxed rules that endanger the life of the combatants, and they want it banned.
