Exam question
This study guide is based on the written exam in English A on HTX from 6th of June:
Presentation of the topic
As the climate changes and the world’s population grows bigger, the demand for fresh and drinkable water becomes greater. There are several threats that cause the global water shortage nowadays, and they are both natural (climate change, lack of rainfall, etc.) and man-made (lack of infrastructure, conflict, etc.). Nonetheless, there are a few potential solutions to solve the world water crisis. Some of them are expensive and involve using a lot of energy (desalination), while others are cheaper and more reliable (rainwater harvesting). Still, for either of these measures to be imposed, changes have to be made in the way people think about global water shortage and in the way water is used worldwide.
