Summary
The short story presents Victor, a 20-year-old Native American from the Mimbreño Apache tribe. He rides bulls for a living, participates in rodeos and works for Kyle McCoy.
After winning 4000 dollars at an All Indian National Rodeo, Victor takes his two Native American friends, Nachee and Billy Cosa, to a bar to celebrate his victory. While the three friends drink and tell stories about rodeos, some deputies enter the bar to search for illegal immigrants.
A white man is wearing a cowboy hat, sitting at the table next to them, interrupts their conversation in a rude manner. Victor and his friends discover that the man wears a jacket with the signs of the U.S. Government and decide they are not to let themselves be provoked.
