Summary
The short story "For Philip, on His Last Night at the Palace" by Stuart Nadler presents Philip, an old man whose habit is to come every Friday to a place called “The Cantonese Palace”. He used to come here since he was younger, together with his wife, Margene, who initially suggested visiting the restaurant. This Friday, however, Philip is the only client in the restaurant. The moving truck is already gathering the things from inside, suggesting that the restaurant is either going to close or to move.
