Summary

“Coming Home” narrates an episode of Chris’ life, a furniture maker, born in Manchester and living in a small village in Scotland, Carnbeg. Chris rents a Japanese DVD from the local shop about an old family in the 1950s.The old couple in the movie decides to visit their children in Tokyo. However, the grown-up children do not have time for the parents who, eventually, return home disappointed.

The movie makes a huge impression on Chris, who watches it several times. Chris starts to think about his parents, still living in Manchester. He hasn’t seen them in eight months.
