Memorandum Legoland, Windsor
TO: Philip Ross, Marketing manager
FROM: John Doe, Communications manager
SUBJECT: Food options in the park
I am writing because I have received a letter from the consumer rights group “Which?” In this letter they encourage us to take action towards healthier food options in the park.
The facts are that we currently have no healthy food-alternatives for children. Children's menus consist mainly of hot dogs, cheeseburgers, pizzas and fish and chips along with sugary beverages, such as soda. A change of the food options, therefore, should especially be directed towards the children's menus.
Instead of these unhealthy foods, we could have menus for children that come closer to our adult menus, including lettuce sandwiches, fresh soups and salads. Also, we could still offer food oriented towards children but with quality groceries. Some suggestions could be:
- Organic burgers and pizzas.
- Pitas with lettuce.
- Low-calorie chips.
- Milk and fresh juice would be suitable alternatives instead of soda.
Image and marketing advantages
Initiatives like these would prove a positive force in strengthening the image of Legoland, Windsor. Our current image as children friendly and fun would be extended by a healthy profile. People would associate Legoland, Windsor with quality and health.
