Summary

The short story “Through the Wardrobe” by Lucy Caldwell presents the life of a boy who becomes attached to a Belle dress he sees in a store one day when he is six years old. The boy remembers the store and the excitement of his sisters trying on dresses, as well as his desire to try on the Belle dress. As his mother shows him an Aladdin costume, the boy tries to push back the sadness he feels deep inside and his longing for the Belle dress.
