“This is America” is a song by Donald Glover, under his stage name Childish Gambino. Donald Glover is an African American actor, rapper, and writer. 
In the beginning of his career, Glover worked as a writer for the sitcom 30 Rock, before gaining popularity as a leading actor in the sitcom Community. 

He then created a successful TV series, Atlanta, about a music manager (also played by Glover) and rapper. Glover also directed some of the episodes of the show and was consequently the first African American to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. As an actor, he also starred in popular franchises such as Star Wars or the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

Glover also released albums and mixtapes independently, as well as four studio albums that received many award nominations....
