Comparison with the other two texts

Consider also that some of the ideas in Text 3 are suggested in Text 1, but the article has a different conclusion from Text 3. The overall message of Text 3 is that revenge can have a positive effect as well as a negative effect: “ ‘We believe the reason people might feel good about revenge is because it allows us the opportunity to right a wrong and carry out the goal of punishing a bad guy’…” (ll. 81-85).
