Narrator and point of view
The short story “Reunion” by Peter Bradshaw is a first-person narration. The main character, Elliot, is also the narrator of the events: “So I’m sitting here in the hotel foyer on one of the big squashy sofas.” (l. 1).
The narrator already knows what happened, so the main events are told in retrospect: “And after the events of the last twenty-four hours I’ve been trying to work something out.” (ll. 3-4).
