Presentation of the topic
Mobile phones have become a common communication tool in this day and age. They are available in almost any part of the world, and they help us to communicate more easily, conduct business, connect to the Internet. With more recent developments, they can even be used as digital wallets. But while mobile phones are available everywhere in the world, there are important differences between the way they are used in developing and industrial countries. Users from developed countries enjoy the latest handset upgrades, which feature technologies such as NFC and 4G at a reasonable cost. However, for the users from developing countries, mobile phones are still mainly a communication tool. Furthermore, the poorest people in the developing world still have limited access to the advantages of mobile phones because of restrictive costs.
These differences suggest that technology like mobile phones could contribute to widening the gap between the rich and the poor.
