Joe Biden’s speech at the 2020 Democratic National Convention is structured around the four problems that dominate the US: the pandemic, racism, the economic crisis, and the issues related to climate change. Biden refers to these issues as “Four historic crises. All at the same time. A perfect storm”. He summarizes them as follows: “The worst pandemic in over 100 years. The worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. The most compelling call for racial justice since the 60's. And the undeniable realities and accelerating threats of climate change”.
