Her er Studienets vejledning til eksamen i Engelsk B på STX fra 25. maj 2016. Emnet for opgaven er sharing economy, det vil sige deleøkonomi. Her gennemgår vi de tre tekster, som er udvalgt i eksamenssættet til at belyse emnet både for og imod. Ud over at give dig et godt overblik over de tre teksters indhold, så får du også input til at svare på, hvordan Hamm engagerer sine læsere og til diskussion om deleøkonomi er en positiv trend.

Write a paper (700-1000 words) in which you answer the following questions. Answer the questions separately.

Explain briefly what the sharing economy is, and outline some of the attitudes to it that are presented in the three texts.
How does Catharine Hamm engage the reader in text 2? Give examples from the text.
Taking your starting point in text 3, discuss whether the sharing economy is a positive trend.

Presentation of the topic

Sharing economy refers to collaborative consumption through internet channels. More exactly, individuals share – for a cost or no cost at all – services and items they can spare. The objects of sharing could be clothing items, rooms, parking places, car driving, etc. These exchanges (borrowing and lending) are facilitated through internet platforms where people can post their adds looking to borrow or lend.
