Disscuss: Parental response

All the articles deal at some point with the concept of parenthood and the parents’ reactions when sibling rivalry is concerned. When discussing the parental response, you can focus separately on what each author says. After analysing all the articles, we have come up with two different types of responses from parents:

The latent response - it implies that parents choose to disregard feuds between children, believing that such events are part of a social norm, a common childhood experience, a “harmless rite of passage” (O'Connor, ll. 15-16).
