The relationship between Freya and Pearl

Although the two women are extremely different, they still manage to maintain their friendship. The two women may be associated with the opposing sides of magnets – even if they are different, they still attract each other.

While Pearl seems to be a superficial woman, preoccupied with the mundane side of life, Freya seems to be rather introspective and serious.

However, they sometimes envy each other and both want something that the other has. On the one hand, Freya wants to be more relaxed, like Pearl, to live her life with ease. At her turn, Pearl seems to wish to adopt some of Freya’s rigour and determination.

The two women manage to maintain their friendship while disregarding their differences and by secretly admiring the other.
