Themes and message

The main themes of the poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost are isolation, responsibility, and man and nature. In its simplicity, the poem manages to convey subtle yet deep questions about life, death and our relationship with the natural world. The poet’s message is that people should find time to reconnect with nature, even if briefly, before returning to their daily lives and obligations.
