As the article "Cachau Bant: Mind Your Language" mostly focuses on history, the language employed by Tom Law is quite complex. To make his point of view known, Law makes use of several linguistic techniques, such as imagery and metaphors.

Imagery is known as the use of descriptive language in literature and Tom Law makes use of it in his anecdote about the German language taking over the world:

German corporations controlled the media and began to bludgeon the public with anti-English messages. The English language was causing many of the country's problems ‒ it was dusty and outdated.
