Barack Obama begins his “Yes We Can” speech by thanking the audience and congratulating Hillary Clinton for winning the elections in New Hampshire.

He continues to argue that the fact that he came so far in the electoral race is a victory as he was not the likeliest candidate. He claims that this was possible thanks to the millions of people who mobilized and cast their vote for him because they want change. 

He argues that regardless of people’s background, their decision to vote is a sign they want to take the country in a new direction, to show their unity and challenge political divisions, to end unaffordable health care, and to challenge the power of the drug and insurance industries.
