Summary

Barack Obama begins his “Audacity of Hope” speech by expressing his gratitude for being able to deliver his message at the convention. He then talks about his parents and about his father’s opportunity to study in America, where met his future wife. Obama then talks about his parents’ faith and dreams that their children could reach their potential in America. 

Obama claims that his parents’ dreams live on in his daughters. Obama celebrates America and claims that the country’s greatness does not come from its economic or military power but its people.
