Nick Bottom

Nick Bottom is a weaver and part of the group of workers who want to stage a play for Theseus’ and Hippolyta’s wedding in the play A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare. Peter Quince gives him the part of Pyramus, one of the lead roles in the play Pyramus and Thisbe. 

Nick Bottom is vain. He has an inflated opinion of himself and his acting skills. He believes that he can acy out all the parts in the play.
