Logos

In the TED talk “Could a tattoo help you stay healthy?”, Carson Bruns uses logos whenever he makes logical connections between ideas and uses statistics to support his arguments. For example, Bruns uses logos when he gives the example of Ötzi to show that tattooing has been practiced for thousands of years: “So clearly, if the oldest skin we’ve seen is all tattooed up, tattooing is a very ancient practice.” (l. 9) 

Bruns compares his own tattoos with Ötzi’s (ll. 27-30). By showing that his and Ötzi’s tattoos are made from the same materials and look the same, Bruns logically demonstrates his point that tattoo technology has evolved very little throughout history.
