Speaker

The speaker of the “Harvard Commencement Speech – Democracy, disinformation and kindness” is Jacinda Ardern. She was the Prime Minister of New Zealand from 2017 to 2023 (which means she was Prime Minister when this speech was delivered). Ardern belongs to the Labour party, and her political views are left-wing and progressive. 

Ardern mentions in her speech that she was born into a Mormon family, in a region which is mainly Catholic and Anglican. She also grow up as a liberal in a region where most people were conservative. However, she notes that ...
