The short story “A Good Man Is Hard to Find” by Flannery O’Connor begins with a family getting ready to go on vacation to Florida. The family consists of the grandmother, her son Bailey, his wife, and three children – John Wesley, June Star, and a baby. The grandmother would like to go to Tennessee instead.
