Summary

In his critical article, “Do ‘Study Drugs’ Breed a Nation of Winners or – Cheaters?”, David Sack begins by explaining that America’s obsession with greatness has led to children and young people turning to prescription drugs that promise to aid concentration in studying and therefore to succeed academically.

David Sack differentiates between A-grade students and the typical teen drug addicts; he states that the best students are the ones who are encouraged to take performance-enhancing drugs, while their parents look the other way. Sack also states that nowadays, taking such performance-enhancing drugs is seen as a normal thing to do if one is to succeed.
